The following reports and dashboards provide insights into course offerings, room utilization, and registration/enrollment patterns. Colleges and departments use these resources to support decision-making and ensure student access to improve retention rates, graduation rates, and student success.

Courses are created by the , and officially published in the university's . A course is designated a component and classification code to describe the mode of instruction (lecture, discussion, activity, laboratory, clinical, practicum), the number of students to be enrolled, and the Weighted Teaching Units (WTU) to be assigned to the instructor responsible for the course.

- Class notes may be added to individual or all sections under a specific subject code
and level (graduate or undergraduate). The topic of these notes may only address the
time, place or manner for the section(s). Standard class notes are assigned to provide
clarity regarding the instruction modes and various other topics.

- Classrooms

无忧短视频 has a variety of classrooms managed at different levels:
- University Lecture Rooms (ULRs)
- College Managed Lecture Rooms (CLECs)
- College Managed Teaching Laboratories (TLABs)
Per the Classrooms List [pdf], these spaces vary in size and 10 of these classrooms seat 100+ students. While Morris Dailey Auditorium is assigned classes as a priority, it is considered a reservable event space and managed by Student Union Event Services.

- Cross-Listed Classes
- Cross-listed classes are created in the catalog and must be approved through the Curriculum process. When approved and implemented, cross-listed classes share enrollments between two or more departments/colleges (e.g. COMM 168A: Communication Studies is the 鈥渉ome鈥 department with METR and ENVS as "dependent" departments).

Instruction Modes identify the teaching method. The nine (9) instruction modes [pdf] are mapped to CSU Learning Modes. A class note clarifies how the course is taught to students.
All state-supported, fully-online courses (instruction modes 1, 2, and 10) are available through .
All classes are assigned Canvas shells regardless of mode of instruction. The Canvas shells are 鈥渦npublished鈥 by default, which means students do not see it unless the instructor publishes it.

Session Types by Funding Type
- State-Support - Regular Session

Terms / Session Code: Fall, Spring, Summer / 1
Regular Session, or state-support, classes funded by the 无忧短视频 Operating Fund and student registration fees (primarily tuition and non-resident fees), are scheduled in all terms (Fall and Spring). Summer terms for regular session only apply to specific state-supported programs with year-round curriculum schedules that includes required offerings in the summer term. At 无忧短视频, this includes all the doctoral programs, the MBA, and some Education programs.

- Self-Support - Overview

Self-Support classes, funded by Professional and Continuing Education (PaCE) funds, are scheduled in all terms (Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer). There are three types of sessions funded by PaCE: Intersession, Special Session, and Professional Development Courses (PDC). Teaching credential program courses may not be taught on a self-supporting basis.
As funding is available, the CSU-system supports the Early Start Program (Term: Summer / Session Code: AUD).

Terms / Session Codes: Winter / 3W1 & Summer / 6W1, 6W2
Winter and Summer Intersession are compacted sessions that offer academic credit courses between the Fall and Spring semesters to current and former 无忧短视频 students, current students from another university, or community members for college credit without being formally accepted to a degree program through Open University or to gain more knowledge. For summer, the 6W1 session code is used for the first 5-week session and the 10-week session. 6W2 is used for the second 5-week session.
